This is Emma Enigma, Herman Sherman’s alter ego, and I am up and about today and it is just a splendid day. I shall line my violet eyes with black kohl with a light mint green shading on the eyelids and the color of my lipstick is black rose. I am in a kind of goth flamenco dancer mood. Mystery is my muse. I put on a leopard print sun dress with straw hat and high heeled sandals that make a clicking sound on the floor. I mesh my ferocity with my tenderness as would any good woman. Vitriol never spews from my lips. I am the soul of woman and come gently upon this world.
I shall surprise my darling Auntie Carol with a genuine French breakfast, fruit stuffed crepes, fresh juniper croissants, hot bitter Sumatran coffee, tempered with heated cream and genuine orange blossum honey and freshly squeezed orange juice. I shall arrive at six o’clock, sneak in and prepare her my specialties and serve her in bed. Start the day like a queen, I always say.
Later on I shall take my darling girl shopping. I must get her out of those”sensible” suits and longer skirts. I shall clothe her in Lauren, Vera, and Ann Taylor. She must have a summer pallette of color and vanquish those horrid
navy blue, black and gray colors she favors. Then we shall go to a screening of Victor/Victoria, a particular favorite of mine, most close to my heart as I’m sure you’d understand.
Then we shall sit in the square and watch the parade of designer dogs and make up stories about their owners. I tend to make a lot of “my” people spies and artists Then we shall dine on the terrace of my town house.
Life is good like a giant soap bubble which never pops and I am in love for the first time in my life. It, is indeed, a blessing and I am good at loving.
